My first time using a pad
A pad is simple once you try it. Practise at home before you need it.

It should not hurt or itch. If it does, try another brand and see a doctor if it continues.
At a glance
Do
- Stick the pad centre on your underwear, wings folded under
- Change every 4 to 6 hours or when full
- Wrap the used pad and bin it
- Wash your hands after
Do not
- Do not flush pads down the toilet
- Do not wear one pad all day
- Do not use scented pads if they irritate
Pick your situation
Keep a pouch in your bag. Change during a break. You can ask a teacher for help, it is normal.

Steps

Wash hands, open the wrapper, unfold the pad.

Peel the paper from the sticky side and press it centre on your underwear.

Fold the wings around the underwear edges so they stay put.

Change every 4-6 hours. Wrap the used pad in the wrapper, bin it, never flush.
